First Time Home Seller? Here are Some Tips for You!

When preparing to sell your home, make sure you do your research and work with realtor to ensure your home is marketed and priced appropriately. You want to drive interested buyers to your home, so don’t be greedy. Remember that pricing a little lower is sometimes aggressive and gets more people in the door, sometimes resulting in selling your home for more money!

If your home is vacant or overly cluttered, make sure you put effort into staging. Homes that are staged allow potential buyers to envision the set up of furniture and overall boosts selling power and appeal.

Choose the best day to list your home. Be mindful of holidays and time of year. Always speak with a realtor regarding this to be sure your home is listed at the best time.

Be flexible with showings and host at least 1 open house. The more people that see your home, the higher chance you have of selling it. If you aren’t flexible, that will drive buyers away.

Always insist on getting professional photography done. Professionals can zoom out for full room photos, adjust lighting, and overall make the photos look so much better. Never skimp on this part. Oftentimes, this is an upfront cost covered by your realtor, so always ask about this!

Whether you set an offer deadline or not, always respond promptly to buyers’ offers to let them know what you think and where you stand. Buyers will appreciate this as they’ll be anxiously waiting for a decision.
